A collection of forlorn tracks that are bound to ruin your otherwise perfectly good day. Please note that the three "Casket Removal" compositions have been professionally mastered as opposed to the ones that are to be found on the "Triarchy" split album where I handled that bit myself (and failed spectacularly at getting them to sound right back then). Those three pieces mean an awful lot to me and I am thrilled to be able to present these "remastered versions" to you, the awesome listeners out there. The remaining tunes are all previously unreleased. "Insect Room" was merely a sketch from 2010 and then I fleshed that out with keyboards and vocals earlier on this year. The short title song is somewhat groovy by PIcture Ann standards and the alternate version of "Mountains" is way more atmospheric and musically satisfying than the one that is to be found on the "Mountains, Myth, and Murder" record from 2015, but hindsight is always 20/20, right?

"The melodies from the electric guitars also show an influence of doom metal when they are utilized while there is also a 3 part trilogy of songs. Most of the tracks are also instrumentals along with the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style when they are utilized and all of the songs also stick to a slower direction.
On this recording Picture Ann goes into more of an experimental and lo-fi ambient direction as well as adding in touches of doom metal to create a very diverse sounding recording while the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Picture Ann and if you are a fan of experimental, lo-fi ambient and doom metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Insect Room" and "Mountains". 8 out of 10."
